The Challenge
Waterway Inn is an owner-operated motel in Indian River, Michigan, right next to the North Central State Trail. They had a strong local reputation — especially among snowmobilers, ORV riders, and travelers with dogs — but their online presence wasn't converting lookers into bookers. They needed a site that highlighted what makes them different: trail-adjacent location, dog-friendly rooms, and rates that undercut the big-name towns nearby.
What We Built
We designed a clean, outdoor-adventure-inspired WordPress site that puts the property's biggest selling points front and center. The hero section immediately communicates the value prop — trail access from your door, dog-friendly accommodations, and affordable rates. Guest testimonials are woven throughout to build trust, and clear CTAs drive visitors toward booking. The site is mobile-first, fast-loading, and optimized for local search terms like "Indian River MI motel" and "dog-friendly lodging Northern Michigan."
